Teacher Preparation Planning and Evaluation
 

 
Goals/Objectives  McREL assists educators and teacher preparation organizations to

  • design programs to prepare teachers to teach in a standards-based system,

  • evaluate programs designed to prepare teachers to teach in a standards-based system, and

  • use data to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher preparation programs.
Description  McREL consultants work with higher education faculty and their K–12 partners to design and evaluate teacher preparation programs and evaluate programs.

Consultants also provide training on standards-based practices to higher education faculty (to pass on to K–12 teachers).
