| Description | Practical guidance for improving ELL achievement in mainstream classrooms Based on McREL's popular book, Classroom Instruction That Works with English Language Learners, this workshop applies the nine categories of research-based instructional strategies identified in Classroom Instruction that Works to five stages of language acquisition.
Teachers learn how to adapt research-based teaching strategies, many of which they may already be using, to successfully engage and raise the achievement of English language learners in their mainstream classrooms.
