What we do
McREL conducts research, develops products, and provides consulting and professional development services to educators. We administer federal grants, such as the REL Central and North Central Comprehensive Center, develop best-selling publications, and provide a wide array of workshops and professional development programs to local schools and districts.
All of these efforts reflect our three-fold discipline of combining deep analysis, practical experience, and creative solutions to make a difference for our clients and the students they serve.

Practical Experience
Contrary to conventional wisdom, “aha” moments and fresh approaches don’t come out of the blue; they are borne out of extensive analysis and practical experience about what works. We combine research and quantitative expertise with real-world knowledge of the challenges educators face every day.
Creative solutions
We look beyond the field of education to business, technology, science, healthcare, and other endeavors, for opportunities, innovations, alternative futures, and fresh ways of seeing education challenges.
